Nanban Audio from December

 

Shankar has said that Nanban's audio will rock the ears from December onwards indicating that the audio launch is scheduled around that time. Harris Jayaraj is the music composer of Nanban and given the strong penchant that Shankar has for music, he would have churned out the best for the director.

The veteran director has already said that Nanban will be a Pongal release though the shooting has been wrapped up because he did not want it to clash with Vijay's Velayutham. Nanban has Vijay playing the lead role along with Jiiva and Srikanth with Ileana as the heroine. Sathyaraj appears in an important role in this film.

This is the first time Vijay is teaming up with Shankar and therefore the expectations are skyrocketing for this film.

Shankar confirms Nanban for Pongal

 

​Director Shankar has confirmed that his eagerly awaited Nanban would release for Pongal 2012.

Nanban is a remake of Raju Hirani's blockbuster Aamir Khan film 3 Idiots and is produced by Gemini Film Circuit (GFC).

The Shankar directed remake has Vijay, Jiiva, Srikanth, Sathyaraj, Ileana and others. It has music by Harris Jayaraj. The film is now in post-production stage and is planning a very big release and is also getting dubbed into Telugu.

Shankar himself said in his blog: " Nanban shooting 100% completed. Since Velayudham is releasing on Diwali, Nanban will be for Pongal. And the audio will start rocking your ears from December. All is well!"

The audio launch of Nanban is likely to be held in the first week of December. Shankar and GFC are planning a big ticket audio launch.

Aamir Khan and Raju Hirani are likely to be the chief guests at the red carpet audio launch.

Vijay gives a surprise shock to assistant directors

 

Actor Vijay has gifted gold chain and ring to all the assistant directors who had worked in Velayudham. Velayudham is a film which has Vijay, Genelia and Hansika in the cast.

This film which has been directed by Jayam Raja has been produced by Aascar Ravichandran. Vijay Anthony has composed the music for this film. This film which is being released for Deepavali is the remake of the Telugu film Azad which was released few years ago.

After seeing the whole film, Vijay was very much impressed. Instead of thanking the assistant directors with mere words, he has expressed his thanks with deed. He has given a surprise shock by gifting all the assistant directors with a gold chain and rings.

Vijay praises Raghava Lawrence's Kanchana

 

Despite being busy the whole year wit back-to-back shooting for Velayudham and Nanban, Vijay seems to have found the time to catch up on the latest Tamil films.

Ilaya Thalapathy Vijay, along with his family, watched the Raghava Lawrence horrorcomedy flick Kanchana and couldn't stop raving about the movie. "What a film! I enjoyed every bit of Kanchana and couldn't control my laughter throughout the film. In fact, my son Sanjay can mimic and repeat all the dialogues from the film," said an excited Vijay .

Meanwhile, the actor launched the Velayudham trailer amidst a huge crowd in Bengaluru recently, at the Poornima theatre.

Vijay enjoys a good fan following in Karnataka and has received tremendous audience support for his earlier films. Addressing the crowd, the actor said that the film was very special for him. Velayudham is produced by Aascar Films on a mammoth scale and besides focusing on several important issues, has been packaged with a lot of commercial elements by director Jayam Raja.

Vijay Released Osthi Audio CD and it was received by Legend Lyricist Vaali, also Vijay at Osthi audio Launch deposited fund in a Donation box for Blind peoples as 1st person.

The makers have tried to release a single track before the audio launch but it didn't happen due to some reasons. Post production works are going on full speed.

The film is the Tamil remake of Hindi hit 'Dabangg'. The song 'Munni Badnam Hui…' from 'Dabangg' is reprised as 'Kalasala…' in 'Osthi' and is Bollywood bombshell Mallika Sherawat is dancing for the voice of T. Rajendher and L R Easwari in the film.

Sony Music releases the music of Osthi in a grand manner in Chennai today, October 19. The audio launch function was attended by the cast and crew of the film and Simbu's father T Rajender the special guest at the function. It has been reported that Salman Khan, who acted in the original 'Dabangg', is likely to release the audio. But surprisingly it is who Ilaya Thalapathy Vijay graced the audio launch function and released the audio.

Nanban grand music launch?

 

 

 

 

Now that director Shankar has confirmed on his blog that the shoot of his forthcoming film 'Nanban' is 100 per cent complete and the Vijay-Jiiva-Srikanth starrer would make it to cinema halls for Pongal, a guessing game is on as to when would be the film's audio will release.

When we probed, inside sources expressed that a mega music launch function is being planned in Chennai by the last week of November. "It will be a grand show in which top guns of Tamil cinema will mark their presence. Cultural programs will also be there," they said.

"Harris Jayaraj, who had earlier worked with Shankar in 'Anniyan', has come out with beautiful songs. All the songs in the film have the quality to emerge chartbusters, as they are composed in such a way that it would strike an instant chord among the youngsters," they added.

Produced by Gemini Film Circuit, 'Nanban', a remake of Hindi hit '3 Idiots', is currently in its post production stage. Shankar, known for crafting his films with the precision of a goldsmith, is said to be working overtime for 'Nanban', for this is his first remake project.

Diwali Countdown- 6 Days more!

 

The excitement is building up as six days remain for Diwali.

It has now been confirmed that Vijay's Velayutham will release on October 26, Diwali day and not earlier as rumoured.

All the three Diwali releases- Velayutham, 7aum Arivu and RA. One (Hindi & Tamil) are slated for release on the same day – October 26.

At the last count 7aum Arivu is releasing in 51 screens in Chennai, while Velayutham has got 40 screens, and RA.One a dozen screens.

The final count according to the trade will be known only on day of release.

The advance booking in select screens has begun for 7aum Arivu in Chennai city and suburbs.

Trade reports say that the advance booking has been phenomenal! Police had to be called in at Abirami theatre in Chennai to control the crowds as tickets were sold out for the five-day weekend within minutes after the counter opened.

The advance booking for Velayutham and RA.One is likely to start by the weekend.
