It's really rare news; Kamal who celebrated his birthday on this Nov 7th had a long time wish it seems. Ulaga Nayagan Kamal Hassan who is well known for his dance movements in the early 80's and 90's was obsessed with our Ilayathalapathy Vijay's dance style since a long time.

Vijay vouches for Shankar

 
 
Vijay claims there have been never any tension between him and Shankar during Nanban's filming. In a recent interview to a tabloid, he mentioned that his friendship with Shankar runs way back to his days as an Assistant Director with his father S A C. "He is an absolute delight to work with and I enjoyed working in Nanban," Vijay was further quoted as saying.

Vijay also has good words about his costars Srikanth and Jiiva. "We have become good friends after the movie," he said.

'Nanban' as '3 Rascals' in Telugu

 
 
 
Ilayathalapathy Vijay who is now basking in the success of 'Velayudham' that is still running to packed houses, is gearing up for his next festive release, 'Nanban' that will see light of the day on Pongal 2012. Now the latest is that Vijay has expressed that the Telugu version will be titled '3 Rascals'!

The film that is a remake of Bollywood's super hit '3 Idiots' which by itself is inspired by a Chetan Bhagat novel will see a release in Telugu, simultaneously. 'Nanban' also marks director Shankar's first ever remake venture.

The film stars Vijay, Srikanth, Jiiva and Ileana in the lead roles, who are reprising the roles played by Aamir Khan, Madhavan, Sharman Joshi and Kareena Kapoor respectively. It may be mentioned that Ileana has a good market in Andhra Pradesh.

Vijay will be seen in never seen before sort of looks in the songs of this film which will release big internationally this Pongal.
 

Vijay says 'I enjoyed working with Shankar'

 
 
 
Ilayathalapathy Vijay has been acting in the direction of Shankar for Nanban and the star says that there has never been tension between him and the Mega director.

Vijay and Shankar have been close pals from seven years when Shankar had been working as an assistant to Vijay's father S.A. Chandrasekhar.
 
Vijay said, "I enjoyed working in Nanban in his direction. Shankar is an absolute delight to work with." Vijay also informs that he has become good friend to his co-stars Srikanth and Jeeva after the film. Nanban casts Ileana as the leading lady.
 
Nanban is officially the remake of Bollywood's highest grosser 3-Idiots starring Amir Khan and Kareena Kapoor. The movie is slated for a pongal release.

Thala Ajith starrer Mankatha has been declared as a blockbuster and the entire team are excited about the success.To celebrate the success ,entire cast and crew of Mankatha joined for a success party in T Nagar.The guest lists includes Thala Ajith,Arjun,Mahat,Vaibhav and Premji.Adding to the excitement Venkat Prabhu and Ajith had invited our Ilayathalapathy Vijay to join the success party , Vijay accepted the invite and graced the succes party.Venkat Prabhu and Premji invited few more friends from his close circles and he made sure nothing like SPB Charan-Sona chaos happens again.Since it was a private affair media were not allowed to cover this event .

Vijay to launch Urumi audio

 

Santosh Sivan`s Tamil version of Urumi starring Prithviraj, Prabhu Deva, Arya, Genelia and Nithya Menen will have its audio launch on 15 November at Sathyam Cinemas.

The audio will be launched by Ilayathalapathy Vijay in the presence of Mani Ratnam and AR Murgadoss. The music of the film by Deepak Dev is popular in Malayalam.

Urumi in Malayalam was a hit and a trendsetter of sorts and was sent to a lot of film festivals. The Tamil version of Urumi will be marketed by Gemini.

Vijay Does It for Santhosh Sivan

 
Ilayathalapathy Vijay is gracing over many occasion in the recent times. The actor was very much busy shooting for various projects simultaneously, but is now little away from hectic schedules.
The actor will be present tomorrow morning to launch the audio of 'Urumi' Tamil version. Originally made in Malayalam, the film stars Prithviraj, Prabhu Deva, Genelia D' Souza, Vidhya Balan, Nithya Menon in lead roles with Arya in cameo appearance. Vairamuthu has penned lyrics for the songs scored by Deepak Dev.
Vijay and Vairamuthu together will be releasing the album.
